1991 Dodge Shadow 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

how i do i check to see if the fuel pump is working? Because my car will start if i put gas in the carb,it will only start for a second but then dies.

Hello, First off check the fuse. It is the Number 2 (20amp) in the pic below..........
