1991 Dodge Shadow car will not start

good evening my car will start in the morning , but as soon as i shut it off it will not start untill i wait 6 to 8 hours it will crank and try t start but will not start untill i wait not even haveng someone jump me will not work
and then i when i touch wies under the car near the fuel pump some times it will start
but i have also changed the fuel filter and then it started right a way and then it stoped working after using it once please help we are tring to get it fixed and do not have to much money

u need to check them wires at the pump
check the coil also

to answer your PM
When it does not start you need to check for spark
pull one of the spark plug wires place it near ground
ask a helper to crank the engine
you watch for a spark arching from the wire
also check the relays at the side of the fender

if it does you need to look for fuel and fuel pump
and if it does nt you have coil relays
replace crank sensor

it is the pick up coil or the ingition coil

yes there is a spark
sorry i looked at it and i was looking on line at some things too but yes it does spark too

then u should be looking for a fuel issue
turn key on and listen at the rear by the tank for the fuel pump does it come on when 1st key on

it some times does and then some times i do not hear it but the car does tun on

When its doesn’t work you need to check for power (with key on or and when cranking)
at the pump and if you have power then the pump is no good
and is no power then check and replace the relay
check wiring

one more thing i just replced the fuel pump last year and how bad is wireing to replace

check the connector and as for wiring u need to look for a weak wire and also you may want to try a new fuel pump relay
one year old pump it still could be bad just check it when the car not starting for you
