My problem started about 5 months ago whenever I would stop my car and release the brakes the drivers side near my back tire would make a loud pop well I tried to explain something might be wrong but no one would listen well today I tried to drive my car it would go fine if I wasnt pushing the gas but when I tried to accelerate it wouldnt go anywhere I couldnt go anywhere in reverse either and it makes a grinding noise when I try to go forward so theres my problem im not sure what it could be but I would be thankful if you could shed some light on this problem thank you

Hi:

The first thing I would check would be the rear brake. It's possible the shoes may have come apart or the retaining springs may have broken, locking the wheel. Also, it may have something to do with the E-brake. Regardless, the wheel and drum needs to be removed, and the brakes need to be inspected. Let me know what you find, and we'll go from there.
