[b:168414a48c]I have a 1988 dodge shadow. While driving it just quit. I had no spark so I check the distributor, the rotor will not spin when cranking. I check gear on end of distributor its ok, what could be wrong?[/b:168414a48c]

Does you car have a timing belt or chain . Motors that have belts use the belt to drive the distributor, along with the water pump, and cam shaft, causing it to turn. I suspected the timing belt (if equipped with one) has broken and this is the reason way the rotor does not spin. Good luck Backyardmechanic :(
