1985 Dodge Ramcharger just changed water pump

just changed water pump now the truck is sluggish and smokes alot im concerned that water got in the engine when i looked at the oil it did look that light color what can i do to get it running strong again thanks

Change the oil and make sure coolant isn't leaking into the engine via a bad head gasket. Also, recheck everything to make sure you didn't leave any vacuum lines off.
