if you are on the driver's side and looking at the motor, the front will be on your left.

The cylinders on the passenger side will be 2-4-6-8 going left to right.

The driver's side are 1-3-5-7, L to R.

The firing order goes 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2.
Clockwise.

The number two cylinder is between both heads at the front of the distributer. The number one is next going clockwise and is probably the closest to the passenger head. The number 3 is at the firewall opposite the #2.
