Distributor rotor

Doing a tune up on my 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 5.9L . OK, I've got my distributor cap off, but the rotor will not budge. Any suggestions?

put a little musle into it.it will come out they stick sometimes.

I put muscle in it, but it wouldn't release. I then returned and lightly pulled and it came right off. It had a light rust deposit on the shaft. Thanks.
