Warped rotors? My brakes vibrate when coming to a stop?

After 32,000 miles my dealer said my rotors were warped due to intense braking at high speeds. I got the front rotors turned and pads replaced, now my back rotors are warped according to my service advisor. My truck has 43,000 miiles on it, what can I do?

HI there,

if the rotors are warped you will feel a pulsation in the brake pedal when braking and body vibration if they are bad, you will only get steering wheel shimmy if the front rotors are faulty, is this what you are experiencing? If so this guide will help you fix it.

I know this is gonna sound crazy, but believe it or not, using an impact wrench or similar air tool to tighten lug nuts can cause severe rotor warp. I had a Ford Crown Victoria, and while I was away on business my wife bought me new tires from one of those tire-depot type places, and they bucked the lug nuts on with an air rachet. Six weeks later my rotors looked like soup bowls. Part of that I'm sure is not utilizing the pattern to tighten evenly, but it ended up costing me a couple hundred bucks to replace the rotors.
