I have a 2006 Dodge Mega Cab, 4WD, 5.7L Truck

The other day it started to be real hard to turn the steer wheel, I notice there is a wining noise when you try to turn the wheel.

But if you are moving the wheel seems to turn just fine.

this all started after having a heavy snow storm and getting stuck.

Since I think it is the power steering pump do these seem to go out very fast and how do I change it?

When they get hard to turn it could be a P/S pump/ loose belt tensioner, low fluid, etc. You mught try to clean the system with some BG P/S cleaner, and the transfuse all the old fluid with new power steering fluid.

If that gives no result replace the pump.
