2005 Dodge Ram V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 58K miles

I'm upgrading my base model 05 Dodge Ram 2500 to power windows, locks, fog lights, maybe cruise control and navigation. I took your advice and subscribed to the online car repair manual you suggested. Does my car's computer have all the chips and sockets to handle all these improvements, or will I have to buy additional chips to install? Is all I need to do is a little rewiring and adding some fuses and solid state relays to the fuse box? What is the worst I could do to my truck if I rewire it according to your recommended online car manual? Any suggestions how to safeguard that I DON'T blow any of my truck's chips?

Thanks, John

Some manufacturers use one wiring harness that have the connectors for the power windows, but are not used, if not equipped.

Some manufacturers do not, so check inside the door panel to see if you have it, there would also be an empty fuse place in the fusebox.

If the connectors are not there, you would have to buy the harness, run the wiring, it would be a big job, but could be done as long as you follow the wiring diagram in the manual.
