2005 Dodge Ram My battery is over charging

I just got installed a new stereo with 2 subs and an amp in my truck. Now once a day, my battery guage says the battey is over charged and goes into the red. If i turn my truck off and then back on , its fine for the rest of the day. Whats wrong?

Hi there,

Have the alternator checked and in particular the voltage regulator.
