My truck is making a clicking sound when stopping. It appears to be only be coming from the driver's side front axle or I cannot hear it clearly enough from the passenger side. I have had 4x4's for most of my life and know the ball joints tend to go out on the front end after a few years. I only use my truck for normal transportation reasons and seldom haul so most of the miles are all highway miles &/or city miles.
I realize that maybe the ball joints are going out, but my real question is, should I replace the whole front axle since I want to keep the truck for a few more years. It has been a great vehicle and looks like it just came out of the showroom.
Thank you for any assistance you can provide.[img:2cedb45c3e]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/471028_0529061845_1.jpg[/img:2cedb45c3e]
