I have a 04 Dodge ram hemi. I installed a new exhaust, Bully dog power pup computer programmer, shorty headers, CAI, and aftermarket spark plugs. All of these upgrades are suppose to improve the MPG's right. I am only getting 11.6mpg on the highway, well that atleast what my onboard computer says. Is there anything that could be causing my truck to get such low mpg's?

I'm not sure of what the claims of those that recommended those upgrades, so I really can't comment on that other than that "increasing fuel miliage is a hot button that marketers are using.

What plugs did you use? Hopefully not bosch. Are they gapped right? Are they the iridium?

You'll find great info on this page:

You need to mathimatically figure out you mileage instead of assuming the readings are correct.

I have a similar problem with my Ram pickup... I get lousy gas mileage, in part it is because there is a leak somewhere in my evaporative fuel system so instead of recycling the gas vapors they just evaporate and it in effect is just letting the gas in my tank evaporate, I am still trying to find the leak with no success, and with it taking over $100.00 to fill a tank that used to take $40.00 to $50.00 I am just letting money evaporate... which also causes crappy fuel mileage since the system isnt doing what it is suppossed to do... so if anyone knows where I would most likely find the problem at I would greately appreciate it
