is it safe to add a stop leak product to your radiator if its leaking.

Yes and no. There are many products made available, but I am not allowed to recommend brands so bear with me. Try to stay away with any product that is a powder. The ones that are the safest are usually in a liquid with what appears to be rubbery pellets.

I have found that any can plug a heater core, but the one I mentioned is less likely. Also, if the leak is between the aluminum core of the radiator and the plastic tanks, none will work.
