I am getting road noise that sounds like wheel bearings. I thought it is from the rear, but jacked the rear end up, ran the truck up to 80 mph and cant reproduce the noise. Already changed the right front hub aassy 30K miles ago. The left hub has a ticking noise when I hand spin it but cant turn it fast enough to get bearing noise. There is no end play in the wheel when I shake the tire, but dont have a dial indicator to check. I dont want to spend $200 on a front assy if that is not it. What can I do?

If noise changes pitch or goes away when steering left or right then front bearing. if hearing in straight line and goes up a speed increases then rear. Also maybe diff bearings does pitch change if you let up on gas then reapply?
