2003 Dodge Ram 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 10K + miles

I have a 2003 ram 1500. I was driving to work this morning when the oil presure dropped. I slowed down and it hit high. As I was turninginto the parking lot the motor shut off and will not restart. as far as I can tell the battery is good and I have not tried to jump it as of yet. when the oil presure dropped the engine started to make a rattling sound and I could feel an odd vibration in the gas peddle. any ideas what this might be or what I can do?

If you heard that type of noise, that concerns me. What I need you to do is check to see if the engine is locked up. In the center of the crankshaft, there is bolt. Use a ratchet to see if you can turn the crank in either direction.

Let me know what you find.
