Leaking around water pump. Is it thermostat or water pump? And is ok to drive at least 20 miles to shop or have towed?

When its leaking around the water -the WP is defective-20miles down the road stop every often and fill it keep an eye on the temp. gauge at all times-Or best bet have it towed more safer and prevent major damages-Good Luck
