2003 Dodge Ram headlights

While the light switch is OFF, the headlights come on by themselves. Usually at night in the garage for the night. If noticed, they can be turned off by turning the switch ON and Off again. That lasted 40minutes the first time and several hrs the second.

It sounds like a faulty switch that is shorting out internally. I can't guarantee it, but that would be my first check.
