problem with my starter

What can be the problem with my starter. the wires are hooked up ok but the starter wont run,not even a click

Hello, I'd make sure the battery has a full charge. The battery connections are clean and tight on both ends. If that checks out, I'd check the circuits at the starter relay in the integrated power module. Voltage for the load side of relay is hot all the time. Voltage circuit for the control side of relay, goes hot with the key in the crank position. The ground for the control side of relay probably goes to the transmission range sensor. Unplug the relay, use a testlite on the relay terminals, with the key in the crank position, how many terminals are hot? A helper would help with turning the key.
