2002 Dodge Ram Fuel Light

Fuel light constantly stays on ever since one day I went to start my truck. Is it a sending unit failure from the fuel tank? I checked all fuses and they are good.

The fuel guage is always reading empty with the light on even though the tank is full. I am currently using my trip meter to monitor my mileage.

Go to the connector at the fuel tank and disconnect it. Jump the Lt blue with black to the black with lt blue, then turn the key on momentarily. If the gauge jump to full, the tank sender is bad.
