I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 quad cab, the engine is 4.7L v8. It started stalling like a year ago so I replaced the spark plugs, the old ones weren't in bad condition and worked evenly. That seemed to fix it but about a month ago it started stalling again once it that the RPMs would rise but it wouldn't accelerate normally and now it has started turning off when I go to stop at a light. Also the engine light is lit on the dashboard when it stalls. Is there anything you can do to help me I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Have you checked fuel pump pressure? When the engine is running, how well does it run? Does it have normal power?

The fuel pump is fine, when the engine is running its has normal power. But I figured out why it was turning off, when I went to stop the brake wasn't working properly basically telling the car computer to shut off the engine, now I need to figure out why its stalling. Thanks again for your help.

This can happen when the ASD relay overheats and shuts off which is common. Here is the location so you can change it out and see what happens. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
