I had a transfer output yoke break on my 02 Dodge 1/2 ton Regency, and ended up replacing the driveshaft and yoke, ujoints. Test drove it and there is a crack all along the top of the transfer case cover, driveshaft side. Is it possible to just remove the drveshaft, yoke and replace just the cover? Easier to drop the transfer and do it on a bench (I have no trans jack)?

Is the case itself cracked? You may be able to have it welded, but it will have to be removed.
