2002 Dodge Ram Brakes all

when I press the break pedal for break , my break tail light stays on and do not turn off untill I stop the engin and start again or disconnect the battery lead I checked the switch is ok because as soon as I unplug the connector off the pedal switch the tail break light go on it is like pressing thr prdal

Have you checked the switch on the top of the pedal?
