I hear a rattling noise when the truck is idling. I just installed a new serpentine belt. Looking at the motor I see that the pulley on the front of the A/C compressor sometimes stops rotating while the truck is running causing this rattle. Is the clutch in the A/C compressor shot? Can this front pulley be replaced without having to replace the entire compressor?

The stopping is normal. The AC cycles. As far as the noise, how loud is it? Have you checked to make sure everything appears tight?
