Hi danielm3313. Welcome to the forum. When it doesn't crank, do you hear one kind of loud clunk from the starter when you turn the ignition switch? If so, check to see if you have the small silver Nippendenso starter. They have a high failure rate of the internal solenoid contacts. Those can be replaced for 20 bucks, but most people just replace the entire starter. The hint also is the engine will crank eventually if you continue to cycle the ignition switch between "run" and "crank". The number of times you have to do that will increase as the contacts continue to wear away.
If you don't hear that clunk, have a helper turn the ignition switch to "crank" while you feel for a click on top of the starter relay. If it doesn't click, suspect the ignition switch or neutral safety switch first. At that point you'll need a test light or inexpensive digital voltmeter and we will continue on with some electrical tests.
