2001 Dodge Ram Vacuum

My 2001 Dodge Ram Pickup 5.2 litre has an issue with the vents switching from vent to defrost. I have changed the PCV Valve without any change. If i disconnect the PCV and plug the manifold the AC works fine. What is the issue?

sounds like a vacuum leak
you might replace the check valve going to the ac system
dodge has a larger check valve whitch act as a small vacuuum chamber
you will need to get a vac hose adapter for both ends
of valve
i did this change over with wonderful results
