2001 Dodge Ram V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I need to know why my truck shuts off & the check engine light comes on when I've changed out the TPS. It used to idle too high & keep reving up , sometimes it would feel like it was bucking or riding rough. The light came on so I went to the auto zone to check the code & it said the TPS is the problem. I switched it out & it rides great but it shuts off when I stop sometimes. Does it need to be adjusted & if so how do I do that?

It isn't adjustable. Has the check engine light come back on? Have you checked for vacuum leaks?
