2001 Dodge Ram starting

my truck will turn over, but it wont stay "on" unless I constantly up the RPM's to keep it reving??? does the battery need replaceing?

Welcome to the forum. If the cranking rpms are ok, The battery is probably ok. I'd use a gage and check fuel pressure. Any codes?
