5.9 L diesel auto tranny, mechanics code reader said the throttle position sensor (bell crank)problem,
-replaced, error gone,
-problem persists
-happens at most speeds when just slightly under load -not so much when pulling larger cargo trailer
seems transmission is switching between gears or torque converter locking and unlocking if that's what they do
-rather similar to going to overdrive and back

mechanic says the oil pressure in the tranny is lower than normal, he put in an additive to thicken the oil says it made the problem worse

thinks it might have something to do with pump

there isn't a tranny shop close to us so was hoping to get an idea of what the problem is and what I am looking at for a repair

Unfortunatley, if the pressure is to low, the transmission is going to have to be torn down to find the exact problem.
