I just got this truck running again after 2 years. It starts fine but idles rough. I get a code of p340 with my info says is "no Cam Signal at PCM". I replaced the cam sensor and I still get the same code. Any help would be nice. Thanks

If it was sitting for 2 years, check wiring to the PCM for damage from mice. Also, check the wiring harness at the PCM for corrosion and make sure it is tight.

Let me know what you find.

I have checked both for damage and corrosion, so far I have no found any noticable problems or damage. I will be ohming the wires from the cam sensor to the pcm to check for any unseen problems.

I have ohmed the wires and found no problems with the wiring. I found that there is.4097 ohms between the 5v power line and the ground. Looking over the wiring for this truck I found that the 5v line in commom with the crank sencor, TPS, and MAP. I unplugged all sencors and found that if I unplugged the MAP sencor I would lose this contection. I assume that this normal for the MAP. Checked voltage with key on and truck not running on both the 5v line and the signal line found both with 5.17 volts. I am going to be putting a new battery in this week as it appears the one I am using will n ot hold a charge very well.

Before replacing the battery, make sure it is full charged and have it load tested at a parts store to make sure it is bad. (Try to save some money if you can).

Sorry for the delayed response, but work called. Ok so I have not replaced the battery yet, but it is still on the list. I was just thinking could a leaky intake have anything to do with this problem. Just for some background I R&Red the transmission before any of this started. However the truck sat of 2 years without running before I replaced the trans.

Any type of vacuum leak could cause it.

Ok got the new battery installed no change in the trouble code, still getting P0340. While mnoving the truck to a better location to work on, I noticed that the ABS and Brake lights (on Dash) stay on and that I have no Speedo. I'm getting ready to do the intake gaskets as I know they were starting to leak before the tranny went out. I understand that any vaccume leak will cause the rough idle and stalling however the fact the I am having these cumputer related issuse have me woundering if I have a computer problem as well.

It sounds like a speed sensor is bad if the abs and speedo isn't working.
