Engine Performance problem
2001 Dodge Ram V8 Four Wheel Drive 58,000 miles

There is jerking in the drive system as if it isn't getting a steady flow of gas or transmission slipping.
It will run perfect after sitting all night, for a short spell anyhow, then it starts, especially upgrades on the freeway. Help!

If the engine is missing, the check engine light should have come on to identify a random missfire. Has that happened? Also, have you checked the fuel pressure? A weak pump or clogged fuel filter can do the same. Is the ATF full and clean? It should be red in color. Also, does it smell burnt? Does the trans slip in any other gear and is it shifting properly.
