2001 Dodge Ram High oil pressure

i have seen that when my oil is low the pressure is high. today i added oil and the pressure is still running high. it has been awhile since mt last oil change could it be a bad filter. or something else?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge if normal replace the oil pressure switch abnormal could mean oil pump pressure relief valve.
