I had been driving my Dodge Ram 1500 around town and stopped at a shopping center and it would not restart. It turns as if it wants to start and last night would actually start briefly but immediately die. After many attempts it now is not starting at all.I don't want to kill the battery.

Interesting, this happened last year during the first cold snap, I towed it to my home and it started the next day for the rest of the year with no problems.

Welcome to the forum. Make sure the battery has a full charge and the connections are good. Have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs. If spark checks out, use a gage and check fuel pressure. If no spark, I'd want to check for primary voltage at the coil and injectors. If no voltage, engine cranking, my first thought would be to check for signal from cam and crank sensor.
