Engine loses power and shuts off while driving

Hello,

It sounds like you might have a faulty crankshaft position sensor.
The crank sensor sends the engine rotation information to the ECM. Over time with heat and vibration from the engine it can lose its internal calibration. Which will lead to incorrect data to the ECM. This can trigger a shut down.
It can shut down at any random time and you may or may not be able to start it back up.
