I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Club Cab. For a while now I've noticed that while I'm driving the engine surges. The RPM's will go up 1 or 2 hundred RPM's. I had the CAT replaced and thought that would solve the problem, but the check engine light came again. The code is P0455 Evap Emission System Leak Large. Would this cause the engine surges or could it possibly be the transmission?

Yes Evap leak large could cause rpm surge it would lean out fuel mix. First check fuel cap tight good seal?
