Transmission problem

My son went to park the truck in the driveway last weekend and couldn't get it to go into park. The gear shift lever moves but doesn't feel like it's catching. Need an idea of what might be wrong before I take it in.

Look at the shift linkage. Dodge used two plastic bushings in LARGE holes. The retaining ears get weak and they slide up the shaft and your linkage turns to Jello! You can replace them or just wrap a tie wrap around the bushing and mount to hold it in place.
