Hello,

my turn signal switch on my 2000 Dodge B1500 van quit working (soemthing is broken inside) and I was wondeing if I can get any guidance on how to replace it. I was unable to open the cover by the steering wheel (looks like it requires some kind of special tool) and I did not want to mess with the steering wheel becuse of the airbag (does the steering wheel have to come off in order to change the unit?). Any information is appreciated. Thanks!

Before you do any kind of work around the airbags, Youre gonna want to disconnect the air-bag fuse, If not youre air-bags could deploy, Also injure youreself, I think with youre van you could undo the plastic column piece with 4 screws, Once that piece is out of the way, U just got to unplug the signal switch, then replace it with the new one, Then hook it backup, It should work. Now If youre steering wheel has to come off, It could be a bit of a Pain in A**, Unless you are experienced, Could cause bit of problems, U will need a steering wheel puller, Then their should be a few pieces take apart. I am pretty sure it will be the I first listed above.
