1998 Dodge Ram checked the oil

Checked the oil, it's foamy and smells like gasoline. What causes this? Is it a major problem?

not changing it enough. 3 months or 3000 miles. also running rich can gas wash the cylinders and get in oil. how does it run?

If the oil has a strong smell of gasoline the truck may be running too rich. Check your oxygen upstream sensor. If it's a white faom check your anifreeze level. If the antifreeze is low you may have a crack head or a blown head gasket.
