1998 Dodge Ram all of a sudden getting hot

my serpentine belt broke and i went and got a nother one and changed it myself. everything is where is should be and everything is tight. after i got done went for a drive adn it started getting hot. never got hot before. blew antifreeze out of the overflow. no strange noises.

Sounds like the water pump is not rotating fast enough to circulate coolant due to the automatic belt tensioner-check belt tension
