Shakes or Wobbles problem
1998 Dodge Ram V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

TRUCK HAS 260000 MILES ON IT. SOMEONE TOLD ME I AM MISSING A CAP ON THE FRONT UNIVERSAL COMING OFF THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE UNIT GOING TO THE LEFT FRONT TIRE.I GOT OFF THE ROAD IN SOME SNOW ABOUT 4 WEEKS AGO AND THAT WAS THE AREA I HAD TO JUMP BACK ON THE ROAD WITH...IS THIS AN EASY FIX OR DO I NEED A NEW AXLE AND 4 WHEEL DRIVE UNIT OR IS IT POSSIBLE TO JUST INSTALL A NEW UNIVERSAL? You can install just a u joint, but you need to disassemble the brakes and take that hub apart, not hard, but keep track of your parts, the axle slides out thru the spindle, press new joint on, slide axle back in, reassemble hub and brakes.
