1997 Dodge Ram Four Wheel Drive Automatic 135000 miles

hi.
silly question...i guess. replacing steering box/pump on my 97 dodge 2500 4x4 w/v-10. trying to find out the approximate dry refill amount for this vehicle. apprx how much fluid do i need to get to refill the whole system?

About one quart. There's special cold weather fluid for diesels too.
