AC drain tube air conditioner was leaking into the truck

Either one of those things is possible. If the condensation drain is plugged up, it will leak condensation inside the car. It can usually be easily cleaned out.

if it was the heater coil would it have a smell? an you mention the plug im not to sure where that is at would you happen to know an thank you so much for getting back to me so fast Toni

You may be able to detect a sweet smell to coolant but not necessarily.
The A/C evaporator drains through the firewall on the passenger side into the engine compartment, down low. You will have to search for the drain and stick a coat hanger or something in there to clear the clog.
