Brakes problem
1997 Dodge Ram V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 80.000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi, My brake lights stay on when I let go of the brake pedal. They go off when I pull the pedal up. I need to wedge it up when I park it. My brakes work fine, they stop the truckwith no problems. Can you please help me by telling me why this is happening and how I can fix it? Thank you Jim

Hi there,
This problem is common on toyota and nissan. Hopefully the dodge set-up is the same. Look up under the dash and examine your brake pedal. You will see a switch that is activated by the pedal when depressed. There is usually a rubber or teflon bushing that may be cracked or broken. Take a look, write back and let me know. Hope this helps.......larry
