in january of this year i replaced the water pump on my dodge ram truck due to the bad bearings in the pump. i also decided ot go ahead and replace the belt also. once the new parts were on it was fine no noises or malfunctions ect. well about a week after replacing the water pump and serpintine belt the belt began to squeel. while sitting still idling it comes and goes and it is a relativly light sqeel. however whit is a high pitcheen you are driving and are accellerating it becomes worse and louder. the sound also becomes more of a high pitched squealing sound. i have made several attempts at fixing the problem. i have tried belt dressing, which made it stop for about an hour or two and it came back. tried soap on the belt...same thing, the squeel came back. so after talking to some people i also replaced the belt again... fixed the problem for a few days. the sqeel came back doing the exact same thing. so i continued to replace the tensioner pully, no fix...then the tensioner itself, no fix. i also replaced the other slick pully on the engine no fix. the sqeel is not affected by turning or operating the ac...only when accelerating down the road, so i dont suppose it would be a bad power steering pump or ac....any help would be great. thanks....
