i have a 96 dodge 318 5.2 l 4x4, i recently let one of my friends remove the exhaust converted to make it louder, ireally wish that i hadn't have done that, now my truck is misfiring on 3 or 4 cylinders, on the scanner it said that my oxygen sensor and my mapp( i tihink that is what it is called) was not functioning , and 3 cylinders missed fired my problem is that when i had the converter removed it also had an 0xygen sen. on it as well there is also an oxygen sen. behind the converter, i am wonder if i replace the oxygen sen. that is behind the converter that i still have and the mapp sen., if it will make the truck run again without the oxygen sen in the converter??? i no this sounds a little confusing but any input willl be helpful thanks

The missing 02 sensors are what the computer uses to adjust fuel mixture, the truck will NEVER run right until the original exhaust configuration is restored, or at least an upstrem, converter, and downstream 02 sensors are back in place!
