sometimes my truck wont start if I lift the hood and tap the fuel pump relay with my finger it will start, I changed the relay it made no difference

Hi:
I would recommend checking fuel pump pressure. Many parts stores lend or rent the gauge. If you need directions, watch this video:

Also, when the problem happens again, make sure it is getting spark to the plugs. Has the check engine light ever come on when this happens?
