1996 Dodge Ram draining the radiator

i want to drain the radiator to flush it and replace the coolant is there a drain plug on the radiator there is a small knob on the drivers side of the radiator at the bottom it turns but thats about it i was told that was the drain but it dont seem to drain from there

you have described the petcock, that is what is used to drain the transmission, try opening it and putting a screwdriver in there to clean it out.
