Hi I have a Dodge Ram 1500 V8 5.6 2wheel drive, about 217,000 miles. Ok I start my truck it idles fine but when it warms up it dies. The only way I can keep it running is to apply the gas petal at all times even at stop lights. Before it would start and warm up and the RPMs would fluctute from 0 rpm to 1 and a half rpms. I shut the truck off and turned it back on and it would run like there was no problem. Now it just wont stay running after it warms up without applying the gas petal. Would that be the I.A.C (idol air control sensor) or somethin else? Thank You.

Chances are it is the IAC; however, without a check engine light, that is a guess. Has the light come on?

Yes the engine light is on but thats because the catylayic converter was hollowed out by previous owner so its always on. I guess I should have the converter replaced so I can tell if theres something wrong with my truck in the future.
Thank you very much for your time.
