I replaced 3 Alternators but the charging system is still not working properly.I was told it may be a computer problem ,where is the computer located?

Is the alternator not charging or overcharging? As far as the computer, I believe it is in the driver's side inner fender on your truck. Also, I believe the alternator voltage is regulated through the computer. However, let me know what is going on so I have a better understanding before replacing the PCM.
