I've replaced the coolant temperature sensor and it still won't start in the cold. If I tow it to a heated garage it will start in a few hours . . . Pleeeeease help!

When it refuses to start look for spark and fuel

I've run into the same problem in sub zero temps with my 99 Jeep Cherokee. I've found that the engine is literally flooding. Soaked spark plugs. From what I can gather I need to check out the air temperature sensor. Appearantly it is located in the intake manifold on later model 4.0 liters but I gather it is in the air box on earlier models. I did not see which engine specificly you have but I hope this helps. The answer I got from the dealer was "it was flooded and it should'nt happen again" well it did so I'm on my own. Hope this helps. Good luck
